Developer Rockstar Games have confirmed that their 2010 wild-west open world title Red Dead Redemption is now available Xbox’s backwards compatibility program.
Gamers who own a physical copy of the Xbox 360 version can put the disc in their Xbox One console and immediately download the compatibility update. For those who own the digital version, the game will appear in the ‘ready to install’ section of the Xbox dashboard.
If you don’t own the game, it is on sale currently at $7.50 (USD) for Xbox Live Gold members; for everyone else, it is $10.50.
Developed by Rockstar Games – the studio renowned for the Grand Theft Auto franchise – Red Dead Redemption proved immensely popular upon initial release, and was met with overwhelmingly positive critics’ reviews, including a 9.5/10 from Gamespot.
