Various rumours floating around the internet have suggested that Ghosts 2 may be the next release in the massively successful Call of Duty military shooter franchise. While this prediction appears to still be mere conjecture, online gaming news publication Fraghero claims they can “confirm” that Ghosts 2 will indeed be the series’ upcoming release, also claiming that this information was primarily sourced from “a gaming industry executive”. The identity of this person was not disclosed.
Fraghero also claims that Ghosts 2 will be developed by Infinity Ward (creators of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series), and that the game will undergo a “tremendous” visual overhaul in order to more visually impressive than the original Ghosts game.
If Activision continue their usual publication routine, the game will be released during or around November. It is unclear at this stage whether or not it will launch on all three platforms simultaneously.
